Nine applications were submitted, of which four projects were selected for funding. Primary School No. 15, Primary School No. 8, School and Preschool Complex No. 1, and Primary School No. 17 will each receive PLN 25,000 to implement environmental initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What will be created?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Primary School No. 15 submitted the \"Green Space at Fifteen\" project, which includes the creation of a pocket garden, raised planting beds with native species, pollinator-friendly plants, herbs and vegetables, a composting and waste segregation area, and a rainwater harvesting system. The project also includes an educational trail and an outdoor space for learning and recreation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Primary School No. 8 will implement the \"The Eighth School's Dream Garden\" project, featuring raised beds for growing vegetables, herbs and flowers, wooden benches, and a weather-resistant outdoor teaching board for open-air lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n School and Preschool Complex No. 1 will develop the \"Herb Corner of Knowledge \u2013 A Garden for the Climate\" project. It will create an educational space based on nature-based solutions, including herb and pollinator-friendly planting beds, permeable surfaces, a rainwater harvesting system and educational information boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Primary School No. 17 submitted the \"Green Space for Learning and Community at Primary School No. 17 \u2013 Learning from Nature\" project. It will establish an outdoor forest classroom using the existing trees as both an educational resource and an element of the school's green infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Schools have until mid-November to complete their projects. Importantly, pupils will actively participate in creating the planting beds, gardens and educational spaces, helping to build environmental awareness among the youngest members of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is worth recalling that Grudzi\u0105dz is a beneficiary of the Polish\u2013Swiss Programme for the Development of Cities through the \"Let's Make a Difference\" project. The project's objective is to increase environmental awareness among residents and promote good practices that help communities adapt to the impacts of climate change. Prolonged droughts and increasingly severe floods are becoming a growing reality for cities across the country.\n
\nOver the next two years, PLN 400,000 has been allocated to support these activities. Additional schools and educational institutions will be able to apply for funding through future grant competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
