Our city is a beneficiary of the Polish\u2013Swiss Programme for the Development of Cities through the \"Let's Make a Difference\" project. The project's objective is to raise environmental awareness among residents and promote good practices that help communities adapt to the impacts of climate change. Prolonged droughts and severe flooding are becoming an increasingly common reality that cities must be prepared to address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How can schools apply for funding?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Schools interested in the competition may submit projects focused on developing green areas around school premises, using nature-based solutions or elements of blue-green infrastructure. Applications may also include educational workshops that engage local communities in topics related to nature, environmental protection and climate change. What does this mean in practice<\/strong> Applications must be submitted by 20 July 2026, and the results of the competition will be announced by 27 July 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Who will receive funding?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Under the first edition of the competition, funding will be awarded to at least four public schools or educational institutions.\n\nThe maximum grant available for each school or educational institution is PLN 25,000, with a total funding allocation of PLN 100,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Grudzi\u0105dz schools and educational institutions can receive a maximum of PLN 25,000 in funding for activities related to ecology and climate change. Applications are now being accepted for the competition. \nFunding may also be used for educational campaigns, teaching materials and initiatives aimed at enhancing biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nSchools may establish small rain gardens, plant trees and shrubs, create wildflower meadows or vegetable gardens. Projects may also include the installation of composting facilities, the replacement of impermeable paved surfaces with permeable ones, rainwater harvesting systems, vertical gardens or green roofs.\n\nA key requirement is the active involvement of pupils in the implementation of the proposed activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
