Meet the members of the Social Committee for the \u201cZr\u00f3bmy Klimat\u201d project, implemented under the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Programme. We have selected a group of residents and representatives of various communities who will actively participate in consultations and provide opinions on project activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am extremely pleased with the great interest shown in the recruitment process for the project\u2019s Social Committee. It is important that the project is implemented in dialogue with residents and responds to the real needs of the city and its community. I believe that with this group of people, this is exactly what will happen,\u201d emphasises Maciej Glamowski, Mayor of Grudzi\u0105dz. The Social Committee will provide a forum for discussion, submitting ideas and jointly monitoring the progress of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of sixty applications were received. Unfortunately, some of them did not meet the formal requirements. Members representing the respective categories were selected from among the remaining applicants. The Committee currently consists of twenty-three people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents under the age of 30 are represented on the Committee by Mateusz Orzechowski, Jakub Pi\u0105tkowski and Iga Wi\u015bniewska. Residents aged between 30 and 60 are represented by Krzysztof Gawro\u0144ski, Rados\u0142aw Griesa and Emila Weso\u0142owska-Wi\u015bniewska, while residents over the age of 60 are represented by Aleksandra Magdzi\u0144ska, Marzena Malinowska and Jerzy Rabeszko. Project partners will be represented by Iwona \u015alusarska from the rural municipality of Grudzi\u0105dz and Oliwia Szymerowska from the municipality of Dragacz. Rafa\u0142 Heidek, Justyna Malewska-Sempo\u0142owicz, Emilia Markot-Borkowska, Ewa Sa\u0142o-K\u0142obukowska, S\u0142awomir Skowro\u0144ski and Natalia Szczapa have joined the Committee on behalf of non-governmental organisations. Housing communities and housing cooperatives are represented by Marcin J\u0119drak, Agnieszka Pietrzak and Alicja Sinicka-Olszewska. Anna Lagowska, Mariusz Nasieniewski and Pawe\u0142 Weber will represent entrepreneurs and the business community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Social Committee will serve an advisory role. Its members will provide comments, opinions and recommendations concerning individual project activities at every stage of implementation. Participation in the Committee is voluntary and unpaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a reminder, the \u201cZr\u00f3bmy Klimat\u201d project will include, among other things, the construction of an Environmental and Nature Education Centre on Lipowa Street, the redevelopment of the historic manor park in Owczarki, and numerous smaller investments designed to protect our city from the effects of climate change. These will include greening public squares and streets, as well as measures to retain and reuse rainwater. In addition, a wide range of educational activities has been planned for people of different age groups. The programme under which the project is financed places a strong emphasis on actively involving city residents in its implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project is co-financed by the Swiss Funds supporting the reduction of economic and social disparities within the European Union and by the Polish state budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
